The suspects were taken into custody and subsequently released on unsecured bonds on charges of felony destruction of private property and watershed property, and trespassing by an ATV. The girlfriend was identified as Dolores Hernandez Garcia, 28, of Fredericksburg. Garcia told the first sergeant he had moved the UTV to the back of the residence and that he and his girlfriend had been driving a UTV and ATVs on watershed property on March 27, 2020. He then made contact with a subject identified as Daniel Garcia, 37, of Fredericksburg at the front door. On April 1, 2020, 1st Sergeant Purcell obtained a search warrant and returned to the residence. They were able to follow the tracks to a residence on Simpson Lane where they found a UTV parked under a carport. In response, the Special Problems Unit partnered with Fredericksburg Police Officer Joe Young, the Watershed Manager, to conduct an investigation. UTVs driven by unknown suspects had been trespassing at all hours, causing extensive damage to the property. On March 31, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a trespassing and vandalism incident in the area of the Del Webb Community located at 11 McQuarie Drive. Two suspects responsible for extensive property damage in the area of the Del Webb Community were arrested on Wednesday by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office following a rigorous investigation.
